Holywell Primary School is a Community School and admissions to our Reception class are organised by Hertfordshire County Council. Further information with regards to the process can be found at:

Nursery Admissions – 2025
(For children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022)
The nursery allocation process for 2025/26 will be co-ordinated and administered by the school. The online application process for nursery places at Holywell Primary School in September 2025 will be open on Wednesday 8th January 2025

Our Nursery is from 9.00am to 12.00noon.

The Education Department produces an information pack which informs parents how to apply for a Nursery place and this is distributed through the Health Trusts via your child being registered with a local doctor. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available, places are allocated according to Hertfordshire’s admissions criteria.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ATTENDANCE IN NURSERY HAS NO BEARING ON BEING OFFERED A PLACE IN THE RECEPTION CLASS – APPLICATION TO THIS CLASS IS A SEPARATE PROCESS WHICH IS ADMINISTERED BY HERTFORSHIRE COUNTRY COUNCIL.
